Turkey puts in jail those who dare to call “genocide” the mass killings and deportations of Armenians by the Ottoman Turks in 1915. But, for the first time in history, Turkish intellectuals called the “peoples of Turkey” to mourn this “great catastrophe”.
The gathering will take place in two hours, at 19.00, in Taksim square. Some friends are weary to go due to announced threats. Any attack would add shame to shame. I’ll be careful, no worries.
