A Crusaders’ castle


I had a dip in history in Crac des Chevaliers, the last Crusaders’ castle in Syria: sand layers as thick as its walls, mold greening the stone, broken rocks everywhere; no fancy, fake renovation, the huge building seems to have just been abandoned. It was never breached, only time is doing its job.
